The washbasin was annoyingly located in the room instead of the en-suite, less than ideal for privacy. The duvets were way too thick for the weather. On top of that, the breakfast wasn't as hearty as I've had at other places-reminded me of it could've used more variety. Parking on the street was a gamble. Depending on the day, you might be walking a fair distance. The sheets had a strong perfumed detergent scent that was off-putting, and instead of fine views, I got a glimpse of the busy harbor work instead.

The hot breakfast was delish! The location's perfect with the ferry and town nearby. Just wished sheets weren't so perfumed. Still, enjoyed my 2 nights in a cozy twin room! 😊

the location was magnificent and perfect, for example, curtiss mansion was at a moderate distance from the hotel. the breakfast was delicious and excellent with yoghurt breads and great poached eggs, as example, and the facilities were fantastic.
Tbh, this hotel needs an upgrade.

The location was magnificent and wonderful due on an early ferry, walk from a ferry port. Also, it was 15 min walking distance to a Baronial mansion.

The cooked-to-order breakfast was a highlight.
I found the shower needed an urgent upgrade, quite disappointing. The washbasin in the room felt awkward and inconvenient for privacy. Parking can also be a significant hassle, especially during peak times when you may end up quite far from the guest house.

The location was wonderful for Stornoway, not far from supermarket, the ferry terminal, and town centre. We had lunch at nearby Camerons Chip Shop, tried their fast food options. The view from our king room was nice. Exceptionally comfortable bed gave us a good nights sleep.

A commendable fit for short visits in Stornoway with high value for money. I enjoyed the breakfast with freshly brewed coffee, a nice way to start the day. Make sure to check the parking situation in advance as it can be tricky at times.

Couples looking for a warm stay
A real home from home! Shona and Ali are just AMAZING, it was like staying with friends. The accommodation was so comfortable and clean, and the view from our room was amazing. Plus, we had breakfast cooked to order, and it was just what we needed after a long day. They even offered us a key for the outside door, great for late nights! We walked into town easily, and the nearby parking was a life-saver!
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but considering the location, it was still alright.

Charming atmosphere with a lovely soup served for breakfast. The room, whilenice and neat, had a washbasin located in the same space instead of an en-suite, somewhat inconvenient. Parking availability varied, sometimes leaving us further from the venue than desired, but the overall stay was quite enjoyable.

The location of this hotel is really convenient, just a stone's throw from the ferry terminal, the town center, and the port. Plus, it's close to the bus station, making it easy to get around. The room we had was spacious and featured a basin right in the bedroom. 🛏️.
